TK from "A Beer a Day with TK" did a review on our Pumpkim Ale on 2021-08-31 says:

"I picked up a single 16 ounce can of this pumpkin ale while in Bowling Green this past weekend. This beer is described as, "Just an easy drinking pumpkin ale. Moderately spice." It comes in at 5.25% ABV with 25 IBUs. It poured a clear, pale amber color with moderate carbonation and a solid, 1-finger tanish head. The nose was light pumpkin pie spice (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove). The taste was similar, with cinnamon leading the way and the other flavors blending in nicely. There was a natural pumpkin puree taste, but unlike some other pumpkin beers I have had, it was not overpowering. All in all, this is a solid pumpkin beer, and I am generally not a fan of pumpkin."

TK from "A Beer a Day with TK" did a review on our Chocolate-Dipped Bacon Wrapped Peeps on 2021-04-20 says:

"Anderson was kind enough to pick me up a can of this Double Imperial Oatmeal Pastry Stout when he was last at the R. Shea Brewery. This one comes in at a whopping 12% ABV with 40 IBUs. It poured a jet black color with a nice healthy dark brown head. The nose was roasted malt, a little smokiness with a fair bit of sweetness. This was on the higher end of medium bodied, slick, and smooth. The taste was a nice combination of sweet, smoky, roasted malt, and nuttiness. I did not pick up the 12% ABV initially, but you did get a slight burn after drinking it. Overall, this was a nice beer and I would certainly have another."

TK from "A Beer a Day with TK" did a review on our Rose Grenade on 2021-01-01 says:

"I picked up a four pack of this "New Year's Celebration Beer Fermented With Pomegranates" on New Year's Eve at my local beer shop. This beer was brewed in collaboration with Greg Irving and the Akron homebrew club (SAAZ) and according to the beer blurb on Untappd, "This beer was made for that ONE GIRL, that gets dragged in here with a group and we have no wine or cocktails for her. Me feeling bad, we turned beer into a 'Rose' Champagne with Pomegranates...and now it doesn't even resemble beer..."

TK from "A Beer a Day with TK" did a review on our Devil's Food Cake Milk Stout on 2020-10-16 says:

"Anderson picked up this crowler on a recent trip to the R. Shea Brewing in the Merriman Valley (Ohio). This Devil’s Food Cake Milk Stout poured jet black, with a nice creamy brown head. The smell was sweet and chocolaty. Taste followed suit...mostly sweet lactose and chocolate. We agreed it tasted like chocolate milk. Absolute stunner. Check it out."

Lisa Resnick from Homes & Hops interviewed Ron Shea on 2020-10-06 says:

"You asked, and we listened - we're bringing back the Homes and Hops videos with a stop in Akron to check out R Shea Brewing and meet with the owner/brewer himself, Ron Shea. These guys have a great thing going out there where they are taking their own approach to brewing some fantastic beer. With two brewery/restaurants, in the Valley and a new 56,000 sf location in the Canal, they're helping bring the resurgence of Akron and have become a neighborhood staple"
